30x30 Challenge

As you know, our class has been participating in David Suzuki's 30x30 Nature Challenge. We have been going outside each day for at least 30 minutes.

May has been a good month, we have had a mix of warm and cool weather, dry and wet weather. We have seen the leaves come out on our Meeting Tree, have found worms and snails, flowers, sticks, and pine cones. As always, we have been enjoying our outdoor time.

Over the course of the month, we have been posting photos of our findings and adventures on Twitter and Instagram (@kdgn106). We were very lucky because David Suzuki liked a number of our posts. We were contacted by the David Suzuki Foundation early Monday, they were wondering if they could use one of our Instagram photos! Later that day, I received an email from the 30x30 Challenge group and I saw a picture of our class featured in the mail out. Talk about exciting!

Although the Challenge ends this week, we will continue to spend time outdoors. Maybe next year, we will have to up the challenge, spending more time outside each day.
